Quick Write # 1= "Stars in Your Eyes"

Can you recall a time when you developed a “crush” or a sudden attraction to someone?  In a paragraph or two, describe the crush.  Why were you attracted to the person?  Describe some of the things that you did while you liked him or her.  Why do you think that you acted as you did?  How did the other person react to your crush?  As you read “Checkouts,” compare your experiences to those of the characters.  Do the characters’ actions seem realistic?
